Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
On day 1 of the safari, you will be transferred by a guide from a hotel in Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park with a stopover at Igongo Cultural Centre in Mbarara for lunch and a tour of this museum. You will head to Queen Elizabeth National Park and check into a lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning game drive and a boat cruise at Kazinga channel
On day 2 of the safari, you will have breakfast and head to Kasenyi plains for a morning game drive, where you will get a glance at the wildlife in Queen Elizabeth National Park and other ecosystems. You will head to the lodge and have lunch after relaxing from the game drive.
In the afternoon, you will have an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel, where you will see animals like the Nile crocodiles and hippos. You will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On day 3, after completing breakfast, you will go for a briefing at the park headquarters and get the rules to follow while on a chimpanzee trek. You will begin the chimpanzee trek at 8 am. Depending on where the chimpanzees are, you may take about 30 minutes to 4 hours to find the chimpanzees. You will be permitted one hour with the chimpanzees in their habitats, and after the hour, you will return to the lodge with memories and experiences.
After having lunch at the lodge, you will be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. There are a variety of accommodation facilities in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, and you will check in one, have dinner and retire to bed.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking and Batwa cultural experience
On day 4, after breakfast, you will conduct a gorilla trekking activity with a guide, and you will head to the forest with your packed meal for lunch. You will take about 1 to 7 hours to find the gorillas, and you will be given one hour to stay with the gorillas in their habitats and do some photography before you leave for the lodge.
You will go for a Batwa cultural experience in the Batwa community, and you will learn about the culture of the Batwa people. After interacting with the locals and seeing how they perform their cultural dance, you will head to the lodge for dinner and your night’s rest.
Day 5: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
On day 5 of the safari, you will have breakfast and the guide will pick you up from the lodge and transfer you to Lake Mburo National Park. You will have lunch at Lake Mburo National Park and after head to the lodge for relaxation. You will stay at the rest lodge till dinner time, and after dinner, you will retire to bed.

Day 6: Morning game drive and a boat cruise
On day 6, you will have a morning game drive after breakfast, and you will see animals like the zebras, elephants, giraffes, leopards, bushbucks, bush pigs and many more. The guide will transfer you back to the lodge after the morning game drive.
After lunch, you will go for a boat cruise at Lake Mburo to see the birds and other wildlife at this lake. You will then leave for the lodge, where you will be provided dinner and a night’s rest.

Day 7: Guided nature walk and a night game drive
You will have a guided nature walk at Lake Mburo National Park that will start at 7 am in the morning after breakfast and a briefing. You will see the various ecosystems in Lake Mburo National Park and then head to the lodge for refreshments. You will have lunch and relax.
You will conduct a night game drive that will start at 6:30 pm, giving you an opportunity to sight nocturnal animals like the leopards, hyenas, mongoose and many more. You will return to the lodge after the drive, have dinner and sleep.
Day 8: Depart to Kampala
On the 8th day of the safari, you will have breakfast, and you will leave the lodge and start the journey back to Kampala. You will have lunch in Mbarara town and stop over at Mpambire drum maker, where you will acquire knowledge on how they make drums. You will also have a moment at the equator monument at Kayabwe, and you will take some pictures before you proceed to Kampala, and you will be dropped at a hotel marking the end of the safari.
