Day 1: Arrival at Kigali Airport and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Upon arrival at Kigali Airport, you will meet and interact with our company guide, who will, after interacting about the Rwanda tour, lead you to the Kigali Genocide Memorial for a historic visit. You will learn about what took place during the 1994 Rwanda genocide, and after gathering all the information, you will head to a hotel for lunch.
After having lunch, you will start a 2-hour drive to Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival, you will check into a booked lodge, and then you will rest. You will later be served dinner before you retire to bed.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking
You will have an early morning breakfast at the lodge, and then you will get your packed lunch at the lodge. The guide will take you to the park headquarters for a briefing, and then you will embark on a Rwanda gorilla trek to the forest. You will spend about 30 minutes to 7 hours searching for the Rwanda gorillas in the forest. After spotting them, you will also spend one hour with them. You will take pictures of the gorillas and also observe their movements and feeding patterns. The guide will then return you to the lodge for relaxation. In the evening, you will have dinner, and you will retire to bed.

Day 3: Hike to Dian Fossey Tomb and depart to Kigali Airport
After having breakfast in the morning at the lodge, you will be transferred from the lodge by the guide, and you will set off to the park headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will acquire the hiking gear, like hiking sticks, and then you will go for the hike to Dian Fossey’s Tomb with a guide. You will have encounters with wildlife like birds and primates while hiking. You will then arrive at the tomb where Dian Fossey was laid to rest, and you will also have views of the graves of several Rwanda gorillas. You will then head back to the lodge.
You will have a lunch meal at the lodge, and you will then check out. The guide will pick you up from the lodge, and then you will be transferred to Kigali. Depending on the time, you will get there. You might visit Kimironko market, and then the guide will drop you off at Kigali Airport.
