Our 3 Days Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Safari is a short Uganda safari tour package that leads you to Uganda’s Queen Elizabeth National Park, which boasts over 95 mammal and over 600 bird species, among others. It is also a popular place to see the tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector; the Kazinga Channel, home to massive hippo concentrations; and chimpanzee tracking in the Kyambura Gorge. The trip starts and ends in Kampala or Entebbe.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Depending on the point of the location in Kampala or Entebbe Airport, our safari driver guide will pick you up and transfer you to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Arriving at the park in time for lunch and having lunch at the lodge.

Later on, drive to the park for the evening game drive in the Kasenyi plains, where you will be able to spot various animal species such as elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, waterbuck, and lions, among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay

Day 2: Morning Game drive and Boat cruise in Queen

You will enjoy an early morning breakfast at the lodge before driving to the Ishasha sector for a game drive with a great chance to witness the tree-climbing lions while hanging on the fig tree branches. Other animals to see include Uganda Kobs, sitatunga, elephants, and many more. Back to the lodge, rest and have lunch.

After having your lunch, you will drive to Kazinga Channel for an amazing boat cruise. Expecting to sightsee various water animals, like a large number of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes, can be done while quenching thirst along the shores of the channel. You will also watch notable bird species such as grey-headed kingfishers, swamp nightjars, little bee-eaters, martins, swallows, and Nubian woodpeckers, among others. Return for refreshment, dinner and an overnight stay as above.

Day 3: Nature walk/Return to Kampala or Entebbe Airport

After morning breakfast, you will embark on a visit to the Maramangambo forest on foot to experience more species found in this forest, such as bat caves; varieties of monkeys like black and white monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and colobus monkeys; species of birds like African skimmers, black crakes, yellow-backed weavers, pied kingfishers, martial eagles, African fish eagles, grey-headed kingfishers, and white-winged terns; wildlife animals like elephants, buffalos, and kobs; and green vegetation and many more. Return to the lodge and carry your packed lunch boxes. Then, drive out of the park with a stopover at the Igongo Culture Centre to have an experience of Ankole culture and visit the craft shop around.

After, proceed on the journey to Kampala, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or Entebbe Airport for your departure flight. End of 3 Days Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Safari
