Safari Overview
The 3 Days Rwanda Safari is a Primates trip designed to allow you to experience the Primate Safari, mountain gorilla trekking in the best Rwanda national park, and a cultural experience. You will visit Rwanda, also known as a country of a thousand hills, where you will experience and learn more about the genocide that caused a lot of damage to Rwanda as a country, and visit the Volcanoes National Park, which is home to the mountain gorillas and Golden monkeys in Rwanda.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Kigali city tour and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Depending on your location in Kigali, you will meet your safari driver, explore a bit of Kigali city, visit the Kigali genocide memorial and Kimironko market, before proceeding to Ruhengeri after lunch. It’s about a 2-3 hours’ drive and upon arrival, connect to check in at your booked lodge for dinner and overnight at Da Vinci Gorilla Lodge for mid-range/Hotel Muhabura for budget/5 Volcanoes Gorilla lodge for luxury
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking – Volcanoes National Park
You will enjoy an early morning breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters with your packed lunch and bottled drinking water for a briefing by the park ranger guides at 7:00 am. After the briefing, you will start your Rwanda gorilla trekking journey accompanied by the ranger guides in search of the mountain gorillas; this takes 2 to 8 hours, depending on the movement of the gorillas.
However, the guides will try to find them from where they were last seen the previous day. You will spend 1 hour with these gentle giants and later return to your lodge to refresh and relax. In the evening, you can do an optional community tour around Ruhengeri for a Rwanda cultural experience. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge as above
Day 3: Drive back to Kigali
After breakfast at your lodge, check out of the lodge and drive back to Kigali. Depending on your schedule, you will either be dropped off at your own place of stay or at Kigali International Airport for an onward flight to your next destination.
