2 Days Mount Kilimanjaro Trekking Safari
The 2 days Mount Kilimanjaro trek is a short trip in Tanzania starting from Arusha and ending in Arusha. This Tanzania safari will begin from Marangu Gate after the transfer from Arusha, where you will register before you start the hike to Mandara Hut. The night will be spent at Mandara Hut, where you will be picked up the following day to go to Horombo Hut, and then you will descend back to Marangu Gate for your transfer to Arusha.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Arusha and transfer to Marangu gate for a hike to Mandara Hut.
A guide will meet with our company guide and exchange greetings. You will then leave the lodge with the guide, and you will start the journey to Marangu Gate. The journey to Marangu Gate will take about 2 hours, and when you get to Marangu Gate, you will be briefed, and after getting the rules and guidelines to follow while hiking to Mandara Hut, you will then set off with a guide with a packed lunch.
While on the hike to Mandara Hut, which is 2700 m above sea level, you will go through the lush rainforests as you observe the various sites and wildlife species. You will take about 3 to 4 hours to get to the Mandara hut. You will spot primates as you hike to Mandara hut, and some of these primates will include the black and white colobus monkeys and blue monkeys, among others. You will have your packed lunch and then head for a visit to the Maundi crater, which also has several beautiful sights and rewarding views. After the whole day experience, you will have dinner at the Mandara hut. After the dinner meal, you will have your night’s rest at the Mandara hut.

Day 2: Proceed from Mandara hut to Horombo hut and then descend from Horombo hut to Marangu Gate.
Early in the morning, you will have breakfast, and after that, you will leave Mandara hut and trek to Horombo hut. The trek will take approximately 5 to 6 hours, depending on your fitness levels; you will cross the moorland zones with views of vegetation covers and landscapes. You will have a glimpse at the Kibo and Mawenzi peaks. You will have lunch when you reach Horombo Hut, and after that, you will descend back to Marangu Gate.
You will start the journey back to Marangu Gate, as you have a wonderful experience along the way. You will go through the various vegetation types and have sights of birds, animals like primates and many more. The descent back to Marangu Gate will start at an altitude of about 3720 metres. The return trip will take approximately 6 hours, and once you get to the Marangu gate, you will acquire certificates of completion. The driver guide will then drive you back to Arusha.
