This is a 1 day Rwanda gorilla tour to Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda, where you will meet the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat while gorilla trekking, and you will also have a cultural encounter at Iby’iwacu cultural village. The guide will transfer you back to Kigali Airport after engaging in gorilla trekking and visiting Iby’iwacu cultural village.

Tour description for the 1 day Rwanda gorilla tour
Pick up from Kigali Airport and transfer to Volcanoes National Park for a gorilla trek and visit to Iby’iwacu cultural village, and depart to Kigali Airport
You will be picked up from Kigali Airport by our company representative at 4 am in the morning, and you will be transferred to Volcanoes National Park. It will take you approximately 2 hours to get to Volcanoes National Park, and upon arrival, you will be briefed about gorilla trekking. You will then head to the forest with an armed ranger guide to find the Rwanda gorillas. It will take you approximately 30 minutes to 7 hours to find them, and the time will depend on their location. You will then have one hour with the gorillas in their natural habitat, and you will observe how they feed, play, breastfeed and much more. You will take pictures of the gorillas, and after that, you will head back to the lodge, and you will have lunch.
After the lunch meal, you will go for a visit to Iby’iwacu cultural village for a cultural experience about the Rwandan culture. You will learn a lot about the Rwandan culture and traditions from the locals that you will meet there. You will learn to prepare the local Rwandan dishes and get to see how they dance their traditional dance. You will then leave Iby’iwacu cultural village and start the journey back to Kigali Airport for your flight.
