Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park,
Depending on your location, on the first day of the 3 days fly in safari to Murchison Falls National Park, our driver guide will pick you up and transfer you to Entebbe Airport for your domestic flight with Bar Aviation to Pakuba airstrip, which departs at 12:05 pm. Upon arrival, our driver guide will pick you up from Pakuba airstrip and then transfer you to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will relax at the lodge and later go for an evening game drive where you will be able to view different animals like buffaloes, elephants, waterbucks, oribi, Jackson’s hartebeest, giraffes, Uganda kobs, and warthogs, among others. After the game drive, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Morning game drive and boat cruise to the bottom of the falls
Morning game drive,
After an early breakfast on the second day of the 3 days fly in safari to Murchison Falls National Park, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for a morning game drive where you will be able to view animals like buffaloes, elephants, waterbucks, warthogs, and giraffes and Uganda kobs grazing in the savannah plains with dew; view predators like lions and leopards if you are lucky before they go back to their hiding areas; and view different birds, among others. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
Boat cruise,
After lunch, you will go for an exciting boat cruise to the bottom of the falls, which starts at the Paraa jetty landing site. During the boat cruise, which takes about 2 to 3 hours, you will be able to view large concentrations of hippos and crocodiles in the water, view animals like elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, and antelopes along the water banks, and view waterbird species like fish eagles, kingfishers, and cormorants, among others, for a birding experience. After the boat cruise, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Departure to Kampala via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
After a relaxed breakfast on the last day of the 3 days fly in safari to Murchison Falls National Park, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to drive to the top of the falls, where you will enjoy breathtaking views of the waterfalls and beautiful scenery and enjoy water splashes, among other things. From the top of the falls, you will drive out of the park and start the journey back to Kampala. On the way, you will have a stopover for lunch and another stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. After rhino tracking, you will continue the journey to Kampala, arriving early evening, and upon arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at Entebbe International Airport or drop you off at any place of convenience.
