A 9 days Uganda primates and hiking safari takes you to a primate watching experience in Kibale National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga National Park. You will engage in gorilla trekking, chimpanzee trekking and golden monkey trekking with a visit to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a morning game drive and a boat cruise, thus getting a better experience of Uganda safaris.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park
On the first day, you will connect with the guide in Kampala, and the guide will transfer you from Kampala to Kibale National Park. You will have a break at the equator monument at Kayabwe, and then you will proceed with a stopover in Fort Portal for lunch. You will then head to the Kibale National Park, where you will have your night’s rest after a dinner meal.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and a nature walk
On the second day, you will have breakfast and then you will head with the guide for a chimpanzee trek after a briefing. It will take approximately 30 minutes to 4 hours while trekking in the forest to find the chimpanzees. You will spend 1 hour with the chimpanzees in their natural habitat, and then the guide will return you to the lodge for lunch.
You will go for a nature walk in the evening, and you will view the flora and fauna in this park, which is a rewarding and unforgettable experience. You will then return to the lodge, have dinner and sleep.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
On the third day, you will have breakfast and then check out of the lodge. The guide will transfer you to Queen Elizabeth National Park, and at the lodge where you will check in where you will be given a lunch meal. You will relax for the remaining time of the day, and in the evening, you will have dinner and retire to bed.

Day 4: Morning game drive and a boat cruise
On the fourth day, you will have breakfast and then you will go for a briefing. You will then go for a morning game drive that will grant you the chance to spot some or all of 4 the four big five animals and other wildlife species that reside in Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have a glance at the various landscapes and then the guide will transfer you to the lodge, relax and have lunch.
There will be an afternoon boat cruise after lunch, and you will first go for a briefing at the park headquarters, and then you will set off for the boat cruise that commences at 2 pm. You will spot numerous animals and birds, and after the guide returns you to the lodge. You will be given dinner, and then you retire to bed.
Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On the fifth day, you will have breakfast at the lodge, and then you will check out. The guide will transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, and it is where you will have lunch. You will head to the lodge, and you will relax. You will spend your time at the lodge with the guide as you interact about your experience of the trip so far. You will then have your dinner meal later and then retire to bed.

Day 6: Gorilla trekking and transfer to Mgahinga National Park
On the sixth day, you will have breakfast very early, and you will be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing. After getting the guidelines, you will head to the forest with the ranger guide to conduct a gorilla trek. The trek takes 1 to 7 hours, depending on the gorilla location. You will spend an hour with the gorillas after locating them, and you will return to the lodge for lunch.
You will check out of the lodge, and the guide will transfer you to Mgahinga National Park. You will check into a lodge, have dinner, and retire to bed.

Day 7: Golden monkey trekking
On the seventh day, you will have breakfast and head to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will then set off with the guide for the golden monkey trek that takes about 4 hours while searching for the golden monkeys. You will stay with the golden monkeys for one hour after finding them. You will be allowed to take pictures and then you will return to the lodge where you will have lunch, dinner and your night rest.
Day 8: Hike to Mount Sabyinyo
On the eighth day, you will have breakfast at the lodge, and you will pack lunch. You will head to the park headquarters for a briefing, and you will be given a ranger guide to take you for a hike to Mount Sabyinyo. You will hike to the summit with various views of wildlife landscapes and many more. The hike to the summit takes about 4 hours, and the return trip from the summit to the starting point also takes 4 hours. After the hike, you will return to the lodge, have dinner and retire to bed.

Day 9: Depart to Kampala
On the ninth day, you will have breakfast and leave the lodge with your luggage. The guide will transfer you back to Kampala to a hotel.
