A 5 days Uganda – Rwanda safari that is suitable for those interested in engaging in tours to both Uganda and Rwanda. This safari will begin from Kigali Airport and end at Entebbe Airport. You will leave Kigali Airport and gsve6a visit to Kandt house museum, the Kigali genocide memorial and then proceed to Volcanoes National Park.
At Volcanoes National Park, you will engage in a gorilla trek, hike to Dian Fossey’s Tomb and a golden monkey trek. You will then cross to Uganda via Cyanika border to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will have a gorilla trek and a Batwa cultural experience before being transferred to Entebbe Airport.

Detailed itinerary for the 5 Days Uganda – Rwanda safari
Day 1: Arrival at Kigali Airport and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
On arrival at Kigali Airport, you will connect with our company guide who will transfer you from the Airport and take you for a visit to the Kandt house museum. You will then leave the museum for a hotel in Kigali for lunch.
After lunch, you will head to the Kigali Genocide Memorial for a visit that will create awareness in you about what took place during the 1994 Rwanda genocide. You will then be transferred to Volcanoes National Park. You will take approximately 2 hours to get there. You will reach the park in the evening, and you will check into a lodge for dinner and your night’s stay.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and hiking to Dian Fossey Tomb
Have an early morning breakfast, and then you will go for a briefing. You will then leave the headquarters and go for gorilla trekking in the forest. You will trek for about 30 minutes to 7 hours to find the gorillas. You will then spend 1 hour with the gorillas after spotting them. You will make your observations about the gorillas, and then you will head back to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, after relaxing, you will go for a hike to Dian Fossey Tomb to see where the famous Primatologist Dian Fossey was laid to rest. You will head to Karisoke research centre to discover the history and research done about the gorillas. You will then go back to the lodge for dinner and your night’s rest.

Day 3: Golden monkey trekking and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
An early morning breakfast, and then you will leave the lodge for the park headquarters for a briefing. You will be escorted by an armed ranger guide to the forest to search for the golden monkeys. You will take 2 to 4 hours searching for the golden monkeys. You will easily spot them by following the broken tree branches since they are often seen swinging on trees. You will spend one hour with them after spotting them. You will then head back to the lodge for lunch.
You will check out of the lodge and then head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will cross to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Cyanika border, and you will arrive in the evening. You will have dinner after checking into the lodge, have dinner and you retire to bed.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking and Batwa cultural experience
You will have an early morning breakfast, and then you will be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will go for a gorilla trek, which will last for approximately 30 minutes to 7 hours when searching for the gorillas. You will then spend 1 hour with the gorillas after spotting them. You will enjoy the time with them in their natural habitat as you see the way they behave in terms of feeding, playing and many more. You will then take pictures of them, and you will return to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will go for a Batwa cultural experience. You will meet the Batwa, who will teach you about their culture, traditions and history, for example, their ancient way of hunting and gathering food. You will then return to the lodge for dinner and your night’s rest.

Day 5: Depart for Entebbe Airport
After having an early morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge, and the guide will transfer you to Entebbe Airport. You will have a stopover at Igongo Cultural Centre for lunch. You will proceed and have another stopover at the equator monument for pictures. You will then be dropped off at Entebbe Airport.
