3 Days Gorilla Safari in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
The 3 days gorilla trekking safari is a short Uganda tour that starts and ends in Entebbe, Uganda, and it will take you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the southwestern part of Uganda, where you will get a chance to view the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is famously known for harbouring the highest number of gorillas, which are found in four sectors, namely the Buhoma sector in the north, the Rushaga sector in the south, the Ruhija sector in the east and the Nkuringo sector in the south.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Depending on your location, you will be picked up from Entebbe Airport or your hotel by our driver guide, who will brief you about the gorilla trekking safari and later start the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. It’s a whole-day drive, and on the way, you will have a stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe, where you will buy souvenirs, take pictures and proceed with another stopover in Mbarara for en-route lunch. Upon arrival in Bwindi National Park, you will check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi forest
You will enjoy breakfast, carry your packed lunch and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing about the rules and regulations. After the briefing, you will start trekking in the jungle with an experienced park guide and park rangers who are well conversant with gorilla trekking trails. Trekking mountain gorillas in Bwindi National Park takes about 2 to 6 hours, depending on where the gorillas slept the previous night.
During trekking, you will be able to view other wildlife species in the forest, and once the mountain gorillas are located, you will be able to spend one hour with them, which allows you to take photos, watch them feed, breastfeed, play, and groom young ones; record videos; and also learn more about their behaviours and lifestyle. After the one hour with the gorillas, you will return to the park headquarters, where you will be awarded a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking and later meet up with your driver guide to drive back to the lodge for an evening of relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Departure to Kampala/Entebbe
You will have breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to start the journey back to Kampala with en-route lunch and stunning views on the way. Arrive in Kampala early evening and then proceed to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight, or you will be dropped off at any place of your choice, which brings your 3 days gorilla trekking safari to an end.
