Gorilla Trekking In The Buhoma Sector.
Uganda has sectors where tourism can have a chance of mountain gorilla trekking, and the Buhoma Sector of the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park was the pioneer of gorilla trekking tourism in the country. With the habituation of the Mubare gorilla family in 1993, Buhoma became the first site in Uganda where tourism was opened to enable tourists to follow mountain gorillas through the natural forest habitat of the endangered primates. Preparation and Briefing
The day begins normally at the park headquarters of Buhoma, where trekkers register and get briefed on what to expect on the trek.
