4 Days Bwindi Gorilla Safari
The 4 Days Bwindi Gorilla Habituation and Trekking Safari is an outstanding safari leading to the south-western side of Uganda within Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the home to almost half the world’s population of mountain gorillas. Spend the four days in one of Uganda’s ancient jungles and combine both gorilla habituation and gorilla trekking experiences in one trip. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to more than 500 mountain gorillas, offering the most exclusive gorilla trekking experiences in Africa and the world. It is also the only national park where a gorilla habituation experience can be conducted.

Detailed itinerary of the 4 Days Bwindi Gorilla Habituation and Trekking Safari
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will be picked up to transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, located in the western part of Uganda, approximately 540 km from Kampala by road. You will have a stopover at the equator for photography and the experiment and another stopover for lunch. Proceed to Bwindi, arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at Gorilla Leisure Gorilla Lodge for Luxury/Four Gorilla Lodge for mid-range/Rushaga Haven Lodge for budget
Day 2: Gorilla Habituation experience
Enjoy an early morning breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters, where you will receive a briefing from the ranger guides. Later, head into the forest for your trek. Gorilla habituation in Bwindi involves visiting a semi-habituated gorilla family that is in the process of habituation. This activity on a Uganda safari takes a whole day, and you are granted 4 hours to stay with the gorillas. After the habituation experience, meet your guide and drive back to your lodge to rest. Day 3: Gorilla trekking experience
Enjoy an early morning breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters, where you will receive a briefing from the ranger guides. Later, head into the forest for your trek. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi takes 2 to 8 hours, depending on the movement of the Uganda gorillas. These primates roam the park freely, and there is no way of telling where they will be for a particular day.
On finding them, you will be allowed 1 hour to view and take photos of these gentle primates, enjoy your lunch packs and meet your driver/guide and transfer back to your lodge. The time after trekking can be spent on a village tour or lazing off at the lodge as you savour the memories of your Uganda gorilla trek in Bwindi Park and prepare for the next day. Day 4: Transfer back to Entebbe and Departure
You will enjoy breakfast and transfer back to Kampala with a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch. Proceed to Kampala/Entebbe, arriving in the late afternoon. You will be dropped off at the hotel in either Kampala/Entebbe, as you advise, or at Entebbe airport for your onwards flight back home. End of safari
