2 Days Queen Elizabeth Safari
This 2 Days Queen Elizabeth Safari includes several wildlife and adventure reserve activities for guests. Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of Uganda’s most visited safari sites, with stunning savannah scenery, a variety of wildlife species, and the only tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector, which you are most likely to see while game driving.
On your 2-day Queen Elizabeth safari, Day 1 includes a night game drive to search for nocturnal wildlife, including leopards, hyenas, and civets. The next day includes an exciting trip to Uganda chimpanzee trekking in the Kyambura Gorge, where you will definitely experience chimpanzees and other primates in the tropical rainforest. In the afternoon, you will take a boat cruise down the Kazinga Channel, a natural channel that connects Lake Edward to Lake George and is well-known for the huge population of hippos, crocs, and many different species of birds such as African fish eagles, pelicans, and kingfishers.
This relatively short Uganda safari is an excellent combination for a wildlife adventure, while trekking and exploring nature. This safari is designed for a short trip and allows you to see the best of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

You will begin your day with a morning meal at the lodge, amidst the fresh air and the magnificent sights of the park. When you finish breakfast, your experienced guide will take you for a specific briefing on chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge, or the “Valley of the Apes“. During the briefing, you will learn the guidelines, safety protocol and some amazing behaviours of the chimpanzees.
You will then begin your guided hike through thick, tropical forest and into the gorge, with large trees and flocks of birds tweeting away. The hike can take anywhere between 30 minutes to 4 hours, depending on where the chimpanzees have been located. Once you have found the chimpanzees, you will spend an hour with these amazing primates watching them feed, play, groom and interact with each other in their natural surroundings. Don’t forget to spend lots of time taking perfect pictures and smelling and hearing the natural habitat.
After this memorable experience, you will return to the lodge for a relaxing lunch and some time to unwind.
In the afternoon, you will get on a boat trip along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. The Uganda boat trip will last about 2 to 3 hours, and you will also spot hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes and different water birds such as pelicans, kingfishers and African fish eagle.
After the boat trip, you will return to the lodge to freshen up and check out. The guide will then transfer you back to Kampala, where you will enjoy the beautiful views of the countryside. Upon arrival in Kampala, you will be dropped off at the lodge, and that will end your amazing day of adventure/animals.
