5 Days Uganda Primates Safaris
The 5 days Uganda primates tour is an amazing tour that takes you to the most visited national park, which is Kibale National Park, which is known as the primate capital, where you will have an encounter with chimpanzees as well as other primates such as black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, and baboons, among others. This Uganda safari, as well, will take you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you will spend an hour with the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer To Kibale Forest National Park
Depending on your location, the safari guide will pick you up and brief you about the safari. After the briefing, you will embark on the journey to Kibale Forest National Park, which takes 5 to 6 hours. On arrival, you will check into your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking And Bigodi Swamp Walk
After an early morning breakfast, you will head to Kanyachu Park headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will be allocated a chimpanzee family to trek. The trek takes 2 to 4 hours, depending on the location of the chimpanzees. Once the chimpanzees are located, you will spend an hour with them and take many photos and record moments. While trekking with the chimpanzees, you will spot other primates such as L’Hoest’s monkeys, vervet monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, and some bird species, among others. After the chimpanzee trekking, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will go for a swamp walk in Bigodi Sanctuary, where you will spot several bird species, such as the black-crowned waxbill, black bishop, and yellow-billed barbet; mammals, such as bush pigs, otters, sitatungas, and bushbucks; and primates, such as black and white colobus monkeys and grey-cheeked mangabeys, among others. After the nature walk, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay
Day 3: Transfer To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After a relaxed breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. While on the way, you will have lunch en route and then proceed to the park with amazing views of the beautiful landscape, Kigezi hills, terraced farmlands, and countryside, among others. On arrival, you will check into the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Gorilla Trekking In Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early breakfast, you will head to the park’s headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will enter the forest in search of the endangered mountain gorillas. The gorilla trek takes 30 minutes to 7 hours, depending on the location of the Uganda gorillas. Once the gorillas are located, you will spend an hour with them as you watch them perform their day-to-day activities, take photos, and record moments. After the trek, you will return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Transfer Back To Kampala.
After a relaxed breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to Kampala with lunch en route in Mbarara town. You will have another stopover at the equator in Kayabwe for photography and buying souvenirs. From the equator, you will proceed to Kampala, and on arrival, you will be dropped off at the international airport for your flight back home or to any place of your choice.
