In Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will conduct the 3 days hot air balloon safari, and thus this Uganda safari takes you to Western Uganda with a stopover at Amabere ga Nyinamwiru caves, craters and a night game drive on day 1 of the safari in the Mweya peninsular of Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have a hot air balloon safari on day 2 of the safari and a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. On the last day of the safari, you will have a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains, and then you will be transferred back to Kampala with a stopover at the Igongo cultural centre and the equator monument.

Day 1: Pick up from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a night game drive
On the first day of the 3 days hot air balloon safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park, a guide will pick you up from a hotel in Kampala. Before you head to Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will greet, talk about the safari and then you begin the journey. You will stop at Amabere Ga Nyinamwiru caves, and the guides will tell you about the details of the caves, and you will also get to see the craters with a lot of amazing views. You will then continue to a hotel in Fort Portal for lunch.
You will then arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park, check into a lodge, and relax. In the evening, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing about a night game drive. You will then be accompanied by an armed ranger guide to go with you in the Mweya Peninsula for the game drive. You will get the chance to spot the nocturnal animals at the Mweya peninsular and some of these nocturnal animals include the lions, leopards, hyenas, serval cats, civets and many more. The night game drive takes about 2 to 3 hours, and after the drive, you will return to the lodge for dinner and the night’s rest.

Day 2: Hot air balloon safari and afternoon boat cruise at Kazinga channel
On the second last day of the 3 days hot air balloon safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will be picked up by the guide from the lodge, and then you will be taken for a briefing. You will then set off for the hot air balloon safari that will take you above for views of the landscapes, nature, and wildlife in Queen Elizabeth National Park, and you will also see the sunrise. This will take approximately 1 hour, and after you will have a celebratory breakfast. After having the celebratory breakfast, the guide will then take you back to the lodge, and you can relax. In the afternoon, you will have lunch.
A guide will transfer you from the lodge to the park headquarters for a briefing, and then you will meet the park wardens, who will guide you about the boat cruise. You will be told how to conduct yourself while on the boat cruise. You will go to the Kazinga channel with a guide to carry out the boat cruise that takes about 2 hours. You will have views of the surroundings of the Kazinga channel, and you will spot animals taking water along the water banks like the elephants and buffaloes. You will see the animals in water, like the crocodiles and hippos. There will also be views of birds at this channel connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. You will go with the driver guide back to the lodge for relaxing, and after you will be served dinner, and then you will go to bed.

Day 3: Morning game drive and transfer back to Kampala
On the last day of the 3 days hot air balloon safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will have an early morning breakfast at the lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will leave the lodge with the guide and head to the park headquarters. At the park headquarters of Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will be briefed on how to conduct a morning game drive. The morning game drive is very reliable because you can spot many animals since they are very active in the morning. You will meet 4 of the big five animals in Queen Elizabeth National Park while on a game drive. You will spot animals like the elephants, buffalo, leopards, lions, bushbucks and many more. You will conduct the morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains, where you will also spot some birds while on the game drive. The guide will transfer you back to the lodge. You will check out of the lodge, and then you will embark on the journey back to Kampala.
You will pass through the Igongo cultural centre and have lunch. You will briefly tour around Igongo Cultural Centre and get a cultural experience about the history of Ankole, and you will take some pictures at this centre before you proceed. You will continue and branch at the equator monument for photography, and also purchase souvenirs. You will then arrive at a hotel in Kampala.
